The Sleep Studies
The Sleep Studies is a personal project by photographer Flora Hanitijo that explores people at their most vulnerable and private state.
"It asks the viewers to share a quiet moment of contemplation with its subjects in a deeply personal work."
The project was photographed over a period of two years while the artist took care of her sick partner and mother. The people seen in the images are a mix of friends, family, partner and complete strangers who she hosted in her own bed to better understand the perception of how the world views us. The series has been documented in a book titled 'Silence', available now.
