We always knew they were coming back. After INDEPENDENCE DAY redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet.

To coincide with the release of Independence Day: Resurgence (which we are so insanely excited by) the studio have created a microsite that tells the fictional tale of how the world reacted and united after the first alien attack in a timeline of events from 1996 (when the first film was released, I know!) to 2016, when Resurgence is set to be released.

It's a slick site and a really clever way of building a narrative prior to the films release. Roll on 2016, WE WILL NOT BANISH WITHOUT A FIGHT!
